Hello.
My name is Phoebe, and my dream in life is to be a professional pastry chef. I am only 14 years old at the moment, but I do feel that it is my passion and the path that I am meant to take in life. The art of sweets making is an enjoyable thing for me because it is almost magic, that from the simplest ingredients, when joined together, can create the most complex of flavors, pieces of happiness, and art. It is a wonderful thing that there are many techniques, which can be applied, to create desserts that are truly meant to be enjoyed by all five senses--it is so satisfying to see the faces of the people of eat what i bake, because it makes the all the effort worthwhile. I am not a seasoned baker yet, but with each new recipe I try, I feel like I have learned something new; thus opening new possibilities for me. I hope, as I get more familiar with recipes and techniques (both basic and complex), I come closer to my goal of studying in France...but hey, that is still a long way to go, so one cookie at a time. ^_^
